1st Annual Blanket Ball Fundraiser
Project PLASE held their 1st Annual Blanket Ball Fundraiser on February 8th, 2020. The fundraiser raised just over $11,400 to go towards PLASE's Beacon House Development Project, which aims to convert a 66,000 squared foot old elementary school into affordable housing for 88 homeless individuals.

UMBC Alternative Spring Break
This year, rather than relaxing, a group of UMBC students committed to learning about homelessness in Baltimore City during their Spring Break. After discussing PLASE and the history of homelessness in Baltimore, the students helped get rid of broken and unusable furniture.
Food Drop Days
Every second Thursday of the month, aside from winter months, the Maryland Food Bank donates thousands of pounds of produce and food so we can distribute it to the community for free. Baltimore is a food desert. A food desert is an area, typically low-income that lacks accessibility to nutritious, affordable food. Our Monthly Food Drop Days intend to lessen the impact of the Baltimore food desert.
Family Stability & Shelter Diversion Winter Holiday Party
Friends of Sparsh sponsored our 2018 Christmas Party for our Family Stability & Shelter Diversion Program. They also provided Christmas presents for all of our families. We collect presents for all of our clients year long to ensure each client has a happy holiday. If you would like to donate gifts for the holiday season, please email us at donate@projectplase.org!
Alpha Phi Alpha Haircuts
Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity of Baltimore organized an event with local barbers, beauticians, and a hairstylist to provide these services to our Beacon House Square Housing Facility. If you would like to organize a similar even for our clients, email us at volunteer@projectplase.org!
