Helen Daniel is the Community Outreach Coordinator for the Supportive Services for Veteran Families (S.S.V.F.) Department at Project PLASE. She has assisted over 70 veterans to enroll in the S.S.V.F. program to receive either eviction prevention services or to be rapidly rehoused if they are homeless.
Before devoting her fulltime work to Project PLASE, Helen served 10 years in the United States Air Force and 10 years at a federal agency. She also is a certified Perinatal Community Health Worker.
Helen has also founded a mentoring program called Young Queens, assisting young girls in underserved communities to see and be the best them. She has also started an initiative called Make the House a Home providing homeless veterans and domestic violence survivors transition into permanent housing with basic household items needed.
In addition to being a Community Outreach Coordinator, Helen volunteers with several non-profits and other organizations to assist people in need.”
