This month, Project PLASE will be hopping — and not just from all the Easter candy!
We are having a very busy week from April 16th to April 18th and we are hoping you will join us in some community fun and supportive services. All of these events will be at our Beacon House Square campus, 3601 Old Frederick Road, Baltimore, 21229
On Sunday, April 16th – we are celebrating Good Deeds Day! On this day we are bringing together local businesses, services, and neighbors to join us in a Potluck Backyard Picnic! Our clients can learn about the services you offer while enjoying good food, games, and more! To be a part of this fun event, please contact our Volunteer Coordinator, Rachel Catalano at 410-837-1400 x 128.
Monday, April 17th – Project PLASE with the SW Design School LLC will host a STEM Training Information Session for Veterans (only) from 11 am – 12 pm. Learn about the products to engage in Computer Programming and Graphic Design. Peer volunteers will walk you through the qualification process. At the end of their program, you will have a nationally-recognized certification!
Tuesday, April 18th – with the sun shining above, Project PLASE will resume their OUTDOOR Food Drop Days! We know you’ve been looking forward to getting fresh vegetables and some early fruit of the season from 11 am – 1 pm. Line starts early. Bring your bags, totes, wagons, or travel shopping carts for the bus — we have food to share!
Parents/Guardians of infants — if you are in need of diapers, please call ahead to place an order so we can ensure you receive what you need. Please call Jenny at 410-837-1400 x 121.
Tuesday is going to be hopping — we have a Job and Resource Fair that will also take place outside! We have approx. 10 vendors signed up and more to come! Bring your resumes/cover letters — dress to impress. We are still taking more vendors — if you are interested in either resources to share or have a job opening and want to have a table, please call Carrie at 410-837-1400 x 153.
Saturday, April 22nd – join us for Earth Day as we create bird feeders and bottle planters for our trees. Make an extra one for you to take home with you! If you have extra soda bottles/plastic bottles/jugs to donate — please contact Rachel at 410-837-1400 x 128.
Anyone looking to volunteer for Tuesday, April 18th — we are looking for individuals and groups!
We hope the good weather is here to stay and with it comes good fortunes for all we serve in our community. Happy Spring!
